Résumé

This book presents an overview of predictive maintenance for power transformers, emphasizing condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, and frequency response analysis. It first explains transformer construction, operating principles, windings, insulation, cooling systems, protection devices, and applications. It then examines electrical, thermal, mechanical, dielectric, and environmental stresses that cause aging, deformation, insulation damage, and internal or external failures. Conventional diagnostic techniques, including dissolved gas analysis, winding resistance, transformation ratio, partial discharge testing, dielectric response, and short-circuit impedance measurement, are compared according to their capabilities and limitations. Particular attention is given to frequency response analysis as a reliable, non-invasive method for detecting winding displacement and mechanical defects. The book finally discusses automated interpretation through numerical indicators, machine learning, and intelligent monitoring systems to improve diagnostic accuracy, maintenance planning, transformer reliability, and operational safety.
