Résumé

Signal Theory and Processing presents the mathematical and engineering foundations for modeling, analyzing, and manipulating signals. It introduces core concepts such as signals, noise, and signal-to-noise ratio, then develops standard classifications of signals. The book covers Fourier series and Fourier transforms for spectral analysis, correlation and convolution for system characterization, and sampling theory including the Shannon–Nyquist condition. It also introduces discrete-time processing via discrete signals and the Z-transform (with properties and inverse methods). Exercises throughout support practical understanding.
